Waihi Foundation

It is important when making a financial gift to Waihi School that you feel confident that your money will be used for the purpose for which it is given.

In 2006 the Waihi School Foundation was set to do just that; look after the funds given to the school for various projects.  The Foundation became registered as incorporated under the Charitable Trusts Act 1957 on 28th November 2006. Everyone who gives to the school has the assurance of knowing that the Foundation Trustees invest wisely and use them appropriately for the project for which they are given.

The Foundation is made up of parents, both past and present, who have the integrity, sound business sense and most importantly passion for Waihi School to really make a difference.

The current committee is:

  • Sir Tim Wallis - Patron
  • Jeremy Gould - Trustee
  • George Harper - Trustee
  • Bill Thomas - Trustee
  • Allan Short - Headmaster
  • John Rolleston - Trustee
  • Ritchie Smith - Trust Board Chair
