We warmly invite you to attend our Open Day on Friday 22 May 2026 at 11am.
At Waihi, your child isn’t part of a year group. They’re an individual to be cherished, encouraged and inspired. Set within ten hectares of glorious grounds, this is childhood as it should be.

The South Island’s only independent co-educational prep school for Years 5–8 — offering both day and boarding.
Open Day Programme:
| 11.00am | Open Day and Tours Begin: Student led tours of grounds and facilities showcasing some of the features of our very special school; small classroom sizes, specialist subject teachers, supervised prep, learning support, academic and sporting, music and cultural opportunity. |
| 12.25pm | An address from Gareth Wood (Headmaster), followed by short presentations from Nathan Morland (Assistant Head and Head of Academic), Ollie Clayson (Assistant Head and Head of Pastoral Care). |
| 12.55pm | Cup of tea, bite to eat and the opportunity to chat to Waihi staff. |
| 2.00pm | Afternoon concludes. |
