I am absolutely delighted to have joined the whanau here at Waihi, following my move down from the North Island. I originally come from Cumbria, in the North-West of the UK, but recently embarked on a new adventure, here in New Zealand, with my partner Jez and our four dogs. During my career, I have spent six years working in Outdoor Pursuits before completing an Undergraduate Degree through the University of Lincoln, followed by a Postgraduate Degree in Physical Education, through the University of Cumbria. Upon the completion of my teaching degree in 2020, I moved to New Zealand, where I have been teaching at Taupo Intermediate School. I enjoy a wide range of sports and physical activity, but my passions predominantly lie within rugby, football, snowboarding and tramping. I am thoroughly enjoying my time here at Waihi, getting to know the wonderful students and staff, all of which have welcomed me into the Waihi whanau with open arms. I pride myself on building strong and positive relationships with my students and look forward to continuing to do this throughout their time at Waihi.
