My name is Carmen Hurst and I am the Waihi School Accountant

I have been working as the school accountant for the past 5 years.  I love the whole atmosphere at Waihi aand enjoy the challenge of creating and managing our finances.  One of my favourite activities around the school is the House Singing competition, I really enjoy watching the children find their voice and confidence. 

Outside of my role at the school, I am married to Mark and we have Sam who is a current Waihian and our daughter Abby along with our golden retriever, Milly.  I love the outdoors and you can find me regularly biking or walking up a hill or mountain and taking in our beautiful country.

 “The best view always comes after the hardest climb” – not always just related to the outdoors!
