My name is Kat Thompson and I am the Executive Assistant at Waihi

I began my role with Waihi at the beginning of 2022, and I am loving it!  There is never a day that is the same and I am involved in so much of the school life - from supporting the Headmaster and teachers to driving a school bus - there isn't much that isn't in my job description if needed! I love the range of activities that are on offer for the students and their families at Waihi and enjoy playing my part across the school.

Outside of work I enjoy supporting my three adult children in their sporting pursuits, and you will find me as a regular supporter on the sidelines of my son's hockey, softball or smallbore rifle shooting.  I am also team manager for the Canterbury National Aerobics team of which my daughter is a team member or in the audience supporting my eldest daughter's dance recitals - there is never a spare minute really!
